_Evernote is a suite of software and services designed for notetaking and archiving. A "note" can be a piece of formattable text, a full webpage or webpage excerpt, a photograph, a voice memo, or a handwritten "ink" note. Notes can also have file attachments. Notes can then be sorted into folders, tagged, annotated, edited, given comments, and searched. Evernote supports a number of operating system platforms (including Android, Mac OS X, iOS, Microsoft Windows and WebOS), and also offers online synchronization and backup services.

Jungle Disk is an online backup tool that stores its data in Amazon S3 or Rackspace Cloud Files. It was highlighted by Amazon as one of the earliest S3 clients. The basic Jungle Disk software is sold as a monthly subscription model, and the customer is billed directly by Amazon for data storage and transfer.

It is best known for its Customer Relationship Management (CRM) products and, through acquisition, has expanded into the "social enterprise arena."

_SKYPE

_Skype is a software application that allows users to make voice and video calls and chats over the Internet. Calls to other users within the Skype service are free, while calls to both traditional landline telephones and mobile phones can be made for a fee using a debit-based user account system. Skype has also become popular for its additional features which include instant messaging, file transfer, and video conferencing. Skype has 663 million registered users as of 2010.

_SQUARE

_Square currently provides its card readers for free to its users. The Square app is also freely downloadable from the App Store and the Android Market. Square charges a fee of 2.75% on every credit card transaction. This rate is higher than the rate charged by conventional credit card processors, but Square claims that the conventional credit card processors also include many hidden costs which are never disclosed to the customers.

_SUGAR SYNC

SugarSync is a startup company based in San Mateo, California, specializing in data synchronization software. Their main product, SugarSync, is an application which syncs files, photos and media among multiple computers and backs them up on the Web. It is available for Windows and Mac OS X. There is also a version for Linux being developed by a third-party developer, which is in alpha.

_TRANSMIT

Transmit is an FTP client for Mac OS X. Developed by Panic, Transmit is shareware – after a seven-day trial period, the product can only be used for seven-minute sessions until it has been purchased.

_TRUECRYPT

TrueCrypt is a software application used for on-the-fly encryption (OTFE). It is distributed without cost and the source code is available. It can create a virtual encrypted disk within a file or encrypt a partition or (under MS Windows except Windows 2000) the entire storage device (pre-boot authentication).

_TWITTER

_YOUTUBE

_YouTube is a video-sharing website on which users can upload, share and view videos, created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005. The company is based in San Bruno, California, and uses Adobe Flash Video and HTML5 technology to display a wide variety of user-generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos, as well as amateur content such as video blogging and short original videos.
